Welcome to C.M. Macdonell
Principal's Message
Dear Parents, Hello, Hawk Families and Community! Happy New Year and Welcome Back! My heart was so full this morning watching our students hop off the buses and walk through our doors. It is an absolute joy to hear the laughter, chatter, and energy of our Hawks filling the school once again. We missed you! I hope your Christmas break was filled with rest, hugs, and happiness. Now that we are back together, the energy here is electric. We are feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready to make this spring semester our best one yet. 🦅 Watch Our Hawks Soar! While we are having fun reconnecting, we are also hitting the ground running! There is a buzz in the classrooms because our teachers and students are diving straight into deep learning. We are cheering our students on as they prepare to show the world just how smart they are. This semester, our Hawks are working hard to crush their goals for: TELPAS: Testing the amazing language growth of our emerging bilingual students. STAAR: showing off their mastery in Math, Reading, and Science. We aren't afraid of these challenges; we are excited by them! We are pouring our hearts into making sure every student feels prepared, confident, and proud of their progress. 🌟 Let’s Do This Together We love partnering with you to help our Hawks fly higher. As we gear up for a season of growth, here are three easy ways to keep the momentum going at home: Every Day Counts: We love seeing their faces! Please prioritize getting them to school on time so they don’t miss a moment of the fun and learning. Read for Fun: Snuggle up and read a book together. It’s the best way to relax and build the brainpower needed for the semester. Early Bedtimes: Growing brains need sleep! A well-rested Hawk is a happy, focused Hawk. Thank you for being such a supportive community. It is a privilege to start this new year with you. Let’s make it a great one! Go Hawks! Michelle Gonzalez Principal Christopher M.
