Dear Hawk Families, Welcome to the 2026–2027 Laredo ISD school year! I hope you all enjoyed a restful, fun-filled summer with family and friends. As your Principal, it is my absolute honor to welcome our returning Hawks back to campus and extend a warm greeting to all the new families joining our campus this year. A new school year brings fresh energy, new possibilities, and the excitement of watching our students grow. 🦅 Over the past few weeks, our campus has been a hub of intense preparation, energy, and excitement. Our incredible teachers, custodians, office staff, and support teams have worked tirelessly to ensure Macdonell Elementary is safe, welcoming, and inspiring for the first day of school. This year, we remain committed to fostering a supportive community where every Hawk feels valued, challenged, and supported.
